DePuy Synthes revealed plans to showcase its latest orthopedic trauma technologies at this week’s Orthopaedic Trauma Association (OTA) annual meeting in Nashville.

The innovations to be displayed include four new Volt plating systems, the MaxFrance AutoStrut with Bluetooth multi-axial correction system, VELYS Trauma AI-assisted surgery enabling tech, and further procedural solutions.

“With an estimated 178 million new fractures occurring globally each year, our commitment to driving innovation to help surgeons manage increasingly complex injuries has never been stronger,” said Paolo Di Vincenzo, global president of Trauma at DePuy Synthes. “The hardware offering that defined our industry is now moving forward with a best-in-class precision threaded locking platform, we are expanding into connected care across the entire skeleton, and we are increasing our footprint of solutions that surgeons need to improve patient outcomes.”

The company will showcase four new plating systems that expand its Volt fracture fixation portfolio across the ankle, knee, and shoulder. The systems use the company’s MOSAIC technology, which combines CT-derived anatomical data and machine learning to inform implant shape and fit across patient anatomies.

The MaxFrame AutoStrut with Bluetooth multi-axial correction is the latest addition to DePuy Synthes’ limb reconstruction portfolio and commercially available in the U.S. The system combines automated device adjustments, remote monitoring, and treatment management for complex limb reconstruction, integrating digital planning and mobile connectivity to support surgeons throughout the correction process.

Launching in the U.S. next year, VELYS Trauma AI-assisted surgery will provide intraoperative guidance and fracture reduction assistance with 3D guidance that doesn’t require trackers or reference bodies. DePuy Synthes will also showcase its expanded trauma portfolio, including Dynacord, Gryphon, SuperHawk, and Healix Anchor soft-tissue technologies, alongside its biologics offerings.
